Golfer's Guide

A Language Called Golf
Spoken at Frenchman's Creek with finesse

Golfing at Frenchman's Creek, a prestigious Palm Beach Gardens residential community with a reputation for a catered and luxurious lifestyle, has had a facelift from not one, but two noted golf course architects.

With a storied past of home course players like Jack Nicklaus and Tony Penna, the course was originally designed with the pro in mind by a local P.G.A. player, Gardner Dickenson.  Its two championship golf courses, with immaculate fairways, sparkling lakes and lush landscaping gives novice and pro-players alike a feel more reminiscent of North Carolina than Florida.

And both courses have been redesigned. The North Course features the redesign work of Jim Fazio, the golf course architect for the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. The South Course boasts the creation of Bob Cupp, an amateur golfer who grew up with the game and designed some of the world's finest courses with Nicklaus for 15 years. Each course is a par 72 with a length of about 7,000 yards and ranked among the finest in Florida.

Today, the golf courses provide 58,000 rounds a year, 150 events for all handicap levels, complimentary play with the pro events, a golf shop, customized club fitting seminars, golf academies, and complimentary clinics for members and their guests.

Managing Frenchman's Creek, a high-end residential community that is home to two world-class golf courses, custom estates, villas, patio homes and town homes that comprise nearly 800 acres, four exceptional restaurants and its own private beach club, is Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Achal Goswami, who speaks five languages and whose previous experience includes overseeing the opening of new hotels for The Ritz-Carlton. With the elevation in status of golfing at the community, Goswami now finds himself speaking a sixth dialect-the language of golf.

"NewsMark's creative strategy and integrity on all pojects keeps the press buzzing around us."
