"Hopkinson's work on issues that required diplomacy made NewsMark Public Relations a perfect fit for our media outreach strategy."

GOLA President Randy Terranova

Greater Orlando Livery Association Retains NewsMark Public Relations to Drive Home Message of Excellence

ORLANDO, Fla., -- Mark Hopkinson, NewsMark Public Relations CEO and former head of the radio and television division at the British Embassy's New York-based consular section, has been retained to guide local and national media outreach for the Greater Orlando Livery Association (GOLA) in its representation of the local transportation industry.

"We were very impressed with the firm's immediate grasp of the airport transportation issues that affect us as independent operators," GOLA President Randy Terranova said.

"We're proud of the work we've been conducting in encouraging local and state municipality laws, codes, rules and regulations on behalf of our growing membership. Hopkinson's work on other issues that have required diplomacy and tact made NewsMark Public Relations a perfect fit for our media outreach strategy. We believe that the firm is very well positioned to help with our efforts," Terranova said.

"GOLA's opposition to certain changes in the ground transportation rules and regulations by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority needs to be underlined.  We believe that they may have an increasingly negative impact on our members," Terranova said.

"We're hopeful that a fair exchange of views will lead to a happy resolution for all. The Walt Disney Company is the world's largest theme-park operator and GOLA is very keen to ensure that its members can continue to thrive as independent operators in the business community while working in the shadow of a much larger company," said NewsMark CEO Mark Hopkinson.

NewsMark Public Relations www.NewsMarkPR.com is a full-service PR agency founded by Hopkinson, a former U.S. media strategist for the British government and BBC trained journalist. The firm specializes in personal, political and corporate image building with an emphasis on influential media placements and strategic communications.

GOLA members collectively represent the second-largest transportation
service in and around Central Florida.  Some 200 member companies operate a fleet of more than 600 vehicles registered and permitted at the Orlando International Airport.  A pilot program introduced by GOLA in conjunction with the Orange County Convention Center has fostered zoning rules that have set new standards of excellence in transportation at the convention center.
